After 10 years working as litigation counsel and 6 years as a partner at one of Red Deer's leading general practice law firms, Grant founded Watson Construction Law with the goal of developing a more focused practice which would better serve the needs of participants in the Alberta construction industry.  Grant spends the majority of his time working on files involving commercial and light industrial projects, but is also happy to do work involving other types of projects.

Grant has developed a reputation for his analytical skills and knowledge about construction law generally, as well as his enthusiasm for sharing those skills and knowledge with junior lawyers and clients.

Grant is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Central Alberta Bar Society.  Grant has volunteered with the Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic for more than 10 years and has served as a director and President of a local charitable society.  Grant spends any leftover time traveling, SCUBA diving, motorcycling, hiking, winter camping, and making noise on his guitars.
